Fees for the Nursery
2025-2026

Our fees are fully inclusive and reflect our commitment to simplicity and clarity, so you won't need to worry about any hidden extras; from nutritious meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, activities and extra-curricular schedules. We provide clear, transparent pricing, giving you the confidence that your little one is receiving the best care without any unexpected costs.

Sinclair House Nursery Funding Process

Funded Childcare Hours

We offer a range of funded places through the Government’s Early Education Entitlement for children aged 8 months to 4 years which includes:

  • 15 hours per week for 38 weeks = 570 hours per year

  • 30 hours per week for 38 weeks = 1,140 hours per year

Funded childcare hours have no monetary value and are provided free of charge.  The hourly rate of £12.90 will be applied to any hours outside of your funded hours that your child attend.

To support day care families, we stretch the funded hours across the 46weeks we operate Day Care. This means your child receives a consistent number of funded hours each week:

570 hours stretched = 12.39 hours per week

1,140 hours stretched = 24.78 hours per week

Government funding only covers the cost of the provision of childcare and delivery of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).  The funding does not include any of the other services that our nursery provides, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Extra-curricular actives such as Spanish Classes, Sports, Music, Soft Play and Forest School

  • Meals and Snacks

  • Nursery supplies, including crafting and educational materials

  • Consumables

  • Activities that include additional resources such as cooking or crafts

  • The cost of administering the funding itself

  • Access to My Montessori Child Platform (MMC)

  • Specialised teachers

  • As well all those little extras that make our nursery special!

‘Extras and Essentials’ Fees

Government funding does not cover the cost of our additional services and all those extra touches which makes SHS so special.  Therefore, like most nurseries, we will ask parents to pay for these, to enable us to carry on providing the very best care and experiences.  This voluntary charge, known as ‘extras and essentials’ fee, is included in the invoice amount above Funded Fee.  Whilst the charge remains voluntary, places where parents choose not to pay, have an operational and financial impact on our nursery.  To ensure the care we provide for every child is not affected, and our nursery can continue to operate, placements where parents choose not to pay the extras and essentials’ fee, are offered subject to availability.

The charts below show the additional voluntary amount of each service you will need to pay for your child’s place, in relation to your booking pattern.

Please note that the below insurance and My Montessori Child (MMC) is obligatory to all children attending SHS for the nursery to comply with EYFS regulations.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss options, please speak to the Principal.
