Moving Up to the Prep
The children make the transition to Pre-Reception, the final phase of Nursery, when they’re ready to make the step and they are at least 3 and a half years old.
The transition into Pre-Reception helps to provide a seamless link across the EYFS settings and support pupils' learning as they "move up" into the Preparatory Phase and onto "big school."
Focused time in the Pre-Reception classroom follows the Montessori Curriculum helping to prepare the children as they get ready to make the move across to a Mainstream Educational Programme at Reception age.
